Accompanied pets

If you are travelling with your pet, you can embark using the foot passenger or vehicle entrance, at which point you will be accompanied by our staff to the pet-friendly areas on board. You can keep your pet with you or use one of the cages located in the pet area. If your pet gets too excited, we might ask you to use one of our cages until they calm down.

Pet cats and dogs may travel onboard the vessel as long as you inform us during the booking process. This is when you will be asked whether your pet will be joining you in the pet area or remaining in your vehicle throughout the crossing.

What is needed

If your furry friend will be joining you on your travels, you will need the following documents:

  • A valid pet passport
  • All necessary vaccination certificates
  • Any other documents required by law for your pet to travel

A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • All dogs are to wear a muzzle and cats shall travel in a carrier
  • Only pets weighing 25kg or less are allowed in the pet area

Persons with a disability or reduced mobility

If you have a disability or reduced mobility, we will do our utmost to make your journey as comfortable as possible. Our staff will be happy to assist you in any way you need, both in the ports and on board our vessel.

If you have specific needs with regards to seating, need to bring medical equipment on board, or have an accompanying assistance dog, kindly inform us when booking your ticket.

Furthermore, you are to notify us of your needs by calling on+356 27998989 or email us at reservations@ponteferries.com at least 48 hours before your journey.

You are also to present yourself at the designated point at the terminal where you are to announce your arrival and request assistance at least 2 hour before embarkation.

Foot passengers

Passengers who are travelling on foot must arrive at the terminal at least one hour before embarkation.

This is what you need to prepare when you arrive at the terminal:

  • Your boarding pass. You can either print it out or have it downloaded on your mobile phone
  • Your ID card or passport

You will show these documents to our security officer and then will be directed to the waiting area. When it is time to embark the ferry, our cabin crew will assist you in finding your seat.

Unaccompanied minors

If your child is between the ages of 12 and 18, they can travel on their own.
